Multiple author, MICHIKO MORITA|MICHIKO YAMAMOTO, Foods for Specified Health Uses (FOSHU) , so-called ‘TOKUHO’ in Japanese are designed to be consumed by healthy people intending to maintain or improve their health and hopefully prevent diseases.
We described the definition and characteristics of FOSHU and their appropriate utilization, especially attention points in the diabetic patients.
