    Increase in overseas travel among young people is due to the influence of "sympatthetic-type conspicuous consumption in the influence of the reference group due to the spread of SNS. A new tourism motivation called "sympathetic-type conpicuosness" was extracted.

    The growth in the number of young people leaving the country since 2016 is due to the influence of sympathetic-type conspicuous consumption under the influence of the compliant group due to the spread of SNS. We extracted a new tourism motivation of "sympathetic-type conspicuousness", and found that "reference group"are influential.
