Clinical training occupies one third of the total curriculum in occupational therapist education, that is, 1,000 h, and cooperation between practice instructors and training school teachers is indispensable. With the aim of clarifying the role of teachers in improving the results of clinical training, we conducted an exploratory study analyzing the visitor records of practice facilities. In 2014, we used the Lincoln & Guba method to analyze 38 practice facility visitor records for the physical disability field implemented for 2nd year students in the OT Department of University A. As a result of the analysis, 272 cards were created from the comments of the practice instructors, and 168 codes were extracted. Similar items were then classified into 40 subcategories in 9 categories ("Student's health status"; "Commuting time"; "Student's strengths ; "Student's issues"; "Flight from issues"; "Practice instructors' worries"; "Practice instructors' responses to students"; "Acknowledgment of training guidance"; and "Requests made to the training school". The results of this research indicate that it is important for teachers to be aware of these nine categories when visiting clinical training facilities.
